Local church hosts Christmas party for children in custody of CPS
A local church is doing its part -- and then some -- to help children in custody of Child Protective Services who are waiting to be adopted.
The University United Methodist Church on Dezavala started the event last year. At the Christmas party, children took part in a number of activities and of course received gifts.
The church said they want to be sure children who are awaiting adoption can experience the joy of the Christmas season.
CPS also urges people to consider fostering and or adopting.
