Two people were injured during a violent home invasion on the Northwest Side on Monday morning.

According to police, two people kicked in the door of a house on Pow Wow Street, near Loop 410 and Ingram, at about 4:30 a.m. on Monday.

The intruders began demanding the keys to a car parked in the driveway.

One person was pistol-whipped; the victim was taken to a hospital with minor injuries. A second person was beaten by the suspects.

The intruders left the house without the car. The victims gave police information on a possible suspect described as a man wearing a red shirt with his hair rolled into a 'man bun.'

Police later went to the suspect's house and spotted the suspect, but no one would answer the door. Police said the incident remained under investigation.
