Homeless man shot and killed during fight with another man, police say

SAN ANTONIO - A homeless man is fighting for his life after being shot on the East Side.

The shooting happened around 8:45 a.m. Friday in a grassy area on S. Walters Street and Martin Luther King Drive.

Police said two homeless men got into a fight. At some point, one of them pulled out a gun and shot the other then ran off.

The victim was taken to the hospital where he later died from his injuries, police say.

Police are still searching for the shooter.
