Devin Patrick Kelley, 26, is accused of shooting and killing numerous church-goers in Sutherland Springs on Sunday. Here's what we know about him.

He previously worked at H-E-B and Schlitterbahn

A spokeswoman with Schlitterbahn said Kelley worked at the New Braunfels location this summer.:

We, like the rest of our community, were horrified to learn of the tragedy in Sutherland Springs at the First Baptist Church. We are keeping everyone impacted by this malicious act in our thoughts and our prayers.
Devin Patrick Kelley worked briefly – 5 1/2 weeks - this summer at Schlitterbahn New Braunfels as a seasonal unarmed night security guard. His employment was terminated.
All our security guards must pass a criminal background check through the Texas Department of Public Safety.

An H-E-B spokeswoman said Kelley worked at an undisclosed location for two months in 2013. It is unknown if he willingly resigned or was terminated.

He attended New Braunfels High School

New Braunfels Independent School District tells us he graduated from New Braunfels High School in 2009. The district gave us the following statement.:

We are deeply saddened to hear of the tragedy that took place yesterday (Nov. 5) in the community of Sutherland Springs. Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those affected by this horrific event.
We are shocked to hear that a graduate of our only high school is allegedly responsible for this tragedy. At this time, we can only confirm that Devin Patrick Kelley graduated from New Braunfels High School in 2009 and attended NBISD since the 6th grade.
This senseless act of violence is something that is hard to understand and has definitely shaken our community. We grieve with those that suffered a loss and offer our deepest condolences.

According to records released to us by the New Braunfels Independent School District, Kelley faced multiple suspensions for various reasons including insubordination, profane language/gestures, skipping school, "dishonest/false records", and once in 2006 for "drugs used/sold/possessed."

Online records show his previous address being in New Braunfels. When we went to that address, Comal County deputies were at the scene. It is unknown what exactly was being done there.

Kelley was discharged from the Air Force

An Air Force spokeswoman told the Associated Press that Kelley was discharged from the Air Force for allegedly assaulting his spouse and child. The spokeswomen said Kelley served 12 months’ confinement after a 2012 court-martial. He ultimately received a bad conduct discharge and reduction in rank.

Sexual assault charge

Officials in Comal County say Kelley was involved in an alleged sexual assault four years ago.

Animal cruelty charges

He was also charged with misdemeanor animal cruelty in 2014 in Colorado and was the focus of a protective order issued in that state in 2015, according to the Associated Press.
