Helping veterans secure jobs in the tech industry
SAN ANTONIO -- As many people here in San Antonio know - transitioning out of the military can be, at the very least, challenging - and for some even down right scary. But there are programs out there that aim to help make that move a manageable one. And that's important since more than 250,000 people transition from military to civilian life every year.
Retired General John Campbell, who spent 36 years in the U.S. Army, is chairman of one of the organizations that helps with that move. NS2 Serves is the non-profit arm of SAP National Security Services.
The mission is to provide life changing skills to help veterans secure jobs in the tech industry.
Their 11th class graduation was held recently here in San Antonio. And with that class, now more than 200 veterans have completed an intense 8 week course that prepares them for the challenges that lie head.
