SAN ANTONIO - A local company announced on Friday it would give $30,000 to the HERO W.A.T.C.H program. Some of that money would also go to the family of Kameron Prescott to help with funeral expenses.

Little Kameron died just days before Christmas when he was accidentally shot by Bexar County deputies. He was inside a home in Schertz that a wanted fugitive was attempted to break into; as deputies fired shots at the suspect, a bullet went through a wall and struck Kameron, killing him.

He was laid to rest on Thursday of this week in a custom fire engine casket and the funeral procession was accompanied by a fire department from LaCoste, Texas.

LGI Homes presented a check on Friday morning to HERO W.A.T.C.H. - an organization recently founded to help the families of law enforcement - and to Kameron's family. Kameron's grandfather works as a police officer for the San Antonio Police Department.
