Fire union president to outline next steps on heels of Election Day victory
Fire union leaders will outline the next steps they will take following this week's passage of two voter propositions.
Voters approved two of the three props pushed by the Vote Yes campaign, organized by San Antonio Professional Firefighters Union President Christopher Steele.
One measure places a salary cap and term limit on future city managers. The second measure gives the fire union the authority to push labor talks into binding arbitration.
"All we wanted from the start, is to put the voters back in control of their city" said Steele in a press release. We expect to hear more from Steele during a Thursday morning press conference.
