Driver shot in road rage incident, gunman on the run
SAN ANTONIO —
A driver who was shot following a road rage incident on the South Side remained hospitalized on Monday morning.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, the driver of a pickup truck was shot by someone in another vehicle near I-35 and West Theo Avenue late Sunday night. The shooter fired several times at the victim, hitting him once in the arm.
The victim, described as a 31-year-old man, drove to West Theo and South Zarzamora Street where he pulled over and called for help. Paramedics picked him up and took him to a hospital in stable condition.
Police officers said they have little information in the case, because the victim was unable to provide a description of the suspect or the suspect's car.
It's unclear what led up to the shooting, but police described it as a road rage incident.
