Driver crashes car into Gold's Gym, two people hit
SAN ANTONIO -- Three people were injured when a driver crashed his car into a gym on the Far Northwest Side.
Police and EMS were called to the Gold's Gym located on the 11,700 block of Bandera Road, at Loop 1604, around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. A spokesperson for the San Antonio Police Department said a 56-year-old man was pulling into the gym parking lot, when he suffered some sort of medical episode. His car crashed through the glass entry and into the gym, striking a gym employee and a gym member who was working out.
Both the driver and the gym member were taken by EMS to hospitals. Details about their injuries was not available. The gym employee was treated at the scene and released.
The accident is still under investigation.
