Nearly 700 acres burned in large brush fire in Llano County near Horseshoe Bay

Emergency crews continue to battle a large brush fire in Llano County Tuesday evening southwest of Horseshoe Bay.

It's happening near the Hwy 71 and RR 962 intersection.

The Llano County Office of Emergency Management say numerous agencies ae involved in the response.

The Blanco County Sheriff's Office says it started at around 5 p.m. near the small community of Round Mountain. Around 680 acres have reportedly burned.

Officials at the scene could not give an estimate on containment or if any structures had been damaged.

Residents in the area were asked to not call 9-1-1 unless they were in immediate danger.
