Homeowner stabs home invasion suspect, say police

SAN ANTONIO - The Windcrest Police Department said a home invasion suspect was stabbed by a homeowner after trying to break into home late Thursday night.

The incident happened at a home on Tradewind Drive in the city of Windcrest at about 11:45 p.m.

The homeowner stabbed and wounded the suspect, said police. The unidentified suspect ran off and was later found at a gas station at Randolph Boulevard and Crestway.

The injured suspect was taken to a hospital for treatment and faces criminal charges. No other information was released about the incident.
