Chuck Norris to host 5K where participants dress up like him

Chuck Norris will be hosting a 5K this year in Texas, and he wants to set the world record for the most people in one place to be dressed as him.

The CForce Chuck Norris 5K will take place May 4 beginning at 9 a.m. in College Station. The race registration includes a custom Chuck Norris style t-shirt, a fake beard and a belt buckle.

Participants can also create their own custom Chuck Norris costume in order to set the world record.

There will be a costume contest following the race, and prizes will be given for Best male Chuck Norris costume, Best female Chuck Norris costume and Best kid (12 and under) Chuck Norris costume.

Chuck Norris will be there to kick off the race, and he'll even be waiting at the finish line to greet participants, and it is noted that "organizers are not responsible for any injuries that might occur from allowing Chuck Norris to give you a high five."

Early registration has begun, and if you register before January 31, it is $30 for adults. Registration between Feb. 1- April 12 is $35, April 13- 26 is $40 and if you want to register onsite the morning of the race it will be $50.

Kids and students registration is between $25- $45, and there is also a family rate (3-5 family members) of $80- $100.

After the race, participants can also attend the after party which will feature Chuck's favorite foods and local brews. There will be face painting and bounce houses and the winner of the costume contest will be announced.
