Driver, passenger survive plunge off bridge
A car drove off the highway bridge Friday night and fell 20 feet down onto the street below.
Police said a man was driving Westbound on Loop 1604 West Friday night around 11:20 p.m. when he was hit from behind and lost control of the vehicle. The man hit the retaining wall and rode the retaining wall for several feet before falling 20 feet down onto Stone Oak Parkway.
The driver and the passenger, both in their 20s, were taken to the hospital and suffered multiple non-life threatening injuries.
