Dense fog covered the area on Thursday morning, a dense fog advisory remained in effect until 10 a.m.

At about lunchtime, a very strong cold front will blow strong winds into the area. Winds will reach 40 miles per hour, with some expected to reach about 50 mph. Also, experts say the winds will bring more mountain cedar pollen, so be sure to take your allergy meds.

By Thursday evening, there is a slight chance of rain for some areas around San Antonio. Some areas of the northern Hill Country may even see wet snow mixed in with rain. Snow is not expected to accumulate, but there could be a light dusting on non-road surfaces if the conditions are just right. Temperatures will be cold; some areas could reach temperatures in the 30s.

Friday morning will be cold (get out the heavy jackets). Expect mostly cloudy skies with a high of 57.
