SAN ANTONIO -- An off-duty Bexar County corporal was arrested by the San Antonio Police Department after she was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office said Corporal Kailin Kruger, 26, was arrested shortly before 3 a.m. Other details of the incident were not provided.
A BCSO statement said Kruger has worked with the agency since 2015 and was currently assigned to the jail as a detention officer. She was also a member of the agency's SERT team.
Kruger was put on administrative leave pending further investigation.
Sheriff Javier Salazar stated, "We constantly remind our employees through literature, training, and mass communication of the senselessness of the crime of DWI. There are so many other choices to avoid putting the public and yourself at risk.
The Bexar County Sheriff's Office and area law enforcement vigorously enforce DWI laws. Anyone who chooses to drive while intoxicated is making a horrible, dangerous decision.
Administratively, This case will be handled as swiftly and severely as possible. We will assist SAPD on the criminal case as needed."
