Fire destroys 12 units at apartment complex, flames could be seen for miles

SAN ANTONIO — Fire crews were called out to an apartment complex fire Monday night where flames could be seen for miles.

An apartment complex caught on fire on Parliament near Blanco Monday night around 10:30 p.m. San Antonio Fire Chief Charles Hood describes the scene he experienced overnight from a large fire that displaced 12 units.

"The fire was very fast moving we called for second alarm immediately the fire could be seen for miles away."

Crews are working with the Apartment Association to house the families who lost their homes.

No one was hurt and arson was called to investigate.
