SAN ANTONIO -- Animal Defense League of Texas just launched its new foster program, emBARK. Fosters with the program will commit to having a foster pet in their home for 1-2 weeks. During that time, the foster can help market the pet to find its new forever home - or at least just give the pet time away from the shelter environment.

"This brief foster stay can have a profound impact on the mental health and happiness of our pets," said ADL Hospital Director, Crissy Gonzales.
