Animal Care Services removes "large amount" of snakes and rodents from home
Animal Care Services investigators said a "large amount" of snakes and rodents were seized from an East Side home on Wednesday morning.
The seizure happened at a home on Kayton Avenue, near Rigsby Avenue and South New Braunfels, at about 10:30 a.m.
An ACS investigator said they were tipped off about the snakes and rodents by a neighbor who called 311. ACS said they tried to work with the homeowner and then obtained a warrant to remove the animals from the property.
The snakes were described as constrictor snakes and many will need medical attention.
The investigators said the rodents were being used to feed the snakes.
