SAN ANTONIO - An accident is the cause in leaving over a thousand CPS Energy customers without power Monday morning.

The outage was reported around 11 a.m. CPS Energy outage map says over 1,600 customers are without power in the SW Military Drive area near Commercial Avenue. That is the exact area where emergency units are responding to a report of a vehicle crashing into a utility pole.

CPS Energy crews are on the scene and working to restore power.
