SAN ANTONIO -- Police say a 5-year-old is injured after two men exchanged gunfire with two suspects in a car on the East side on Wednesday.
It happened on the East side in the 4000 block of Sunrise Creek when a car approached two men walking along the street.
Police said the dark-colored Sedan stopped and approached the men once before driving up the street and stopping again. That's when gunfire was exchanged between the two walkers and the two men in the car.
A 3-year-old and a 5-year-old were playing in the area and were caught in the crossfire. The 5-year-old was shot in the earlobe and transported to the hospital, but is expected to be okay.
Police are searching for the suspects at this time. No further details were released.
