Spaghetti Warehouse fails health inspection after 'mold-like debris' found in ice machine

Spaghetti Warehouse is the demerit restaurant for this week. (News 4 San Antonio)

Spaghetti Warehouse, located at 1226 Houston Street, scored a 65 on its latest health inspection. Anything below 70 is considered failing.

Inspectors cited the restaurant for:

  • A cup and napkin found in the bulk sugar
  • Floor mixer had food debris on the mixing arm
  • An employee carried boxes and then cut fruit without using gloves
  • Employee drinks without covers were stored above food contact surfaces and prep areas
  • Dark, mold-like debris found inside the ice machine

A deeper look into this restaurant, shows that it passed its previous inspections in the past two years.

  • On Sept, 29, 2017 it scored a 91
  • It got a 95, its highest score on June 26, 2017
  • And on Oct. 10, 2016 Spaghetti Warehouse scored a 94.

The violations mentioned have to be taken care of by April.
