A BBQ restaurant scores a Blue Plate for its perfect score on its health inspection
SAN ANTONIO —
This week's News 4 Blue Plate Award goes to Old Smokehouse, 5145 Fredericksburg Road.
It is best known for serving brisket and green beans. But maybe now they'll be known for the Smokey Sandwich.
"It's a pound of meat and it has 12 inch hoagie bun, brisket, sausage, pork shoulder and marinated cabbage," said Kevin Smith, the restaurant manager.
Everything is made from scratch and the manager says they're honored to win a second Blue Plate.
"I would like to thank the community for coming out to us and my stuff here at old Smokehouse," said Smith.
