SAN ANTONIO – For the past few weeks, we've been trying to get answers from city leaders regarding the recent string of shootings that targeted the San Antonio Police Department.
The shootings have wounded 6 officers and it has resulted in a back-and-forth between the San Antonio Police Department Chief William McManus and Bexar County District Attorney Joe Gonzales.
In the shootings, the suspects all were repeat offenders with lengthy criminal histories. It has all resulted in some big questions about the bond system and about what should happen to make sure people who a threat are to the police, and society are kept behind bars.
On Monday night, District 4 Councilwoman Dr. Adriana Rocha Garcia is hosting the town hall.
Both Chief McManus and District Attorney Joe Gonzales are expected to be there to talk about possible solutions.
It will be held at the St. Rose of Lima Church on Marbach Road near South Ellison. It begins at 6 p.m.
