Robert Price co-anchors News 4 San Antonio weekend newscasts.
Robert is a San Antonio native and a graduate of TMI, where he was editor-in-chief of the school newspaper and co-editor of the yearbook. After high school, Robert headed west to the University of Southern California as a National Merit Scholar, where he earned his B.A. (cum laude) as a double-major in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish. While in college, Robert interned at KABC in Los Angeles and KSAT in San Antonio. He also spent a semester abroad in Madrid, Spain.
Robert began his career in America's heartland as a Weekend Anchor/Reporter at KHAS-TV, the NBC affiliate for central Nebraska. While there, Robert received awards from the Nebraska Associated Press and the Nebraska Broadcasters Association. He then moved one state over to Cedar Rapids, Iowa to work for the Sinclair sister-stations KGAN CBS 2 and KFXA FOX 28. In Cedar Rapids he served as a general assignment reporter and weekend anchor, and even did an eight-week stint as the sports anchor.
He made the intra-company move to Fox San Antonio as soon as an opening presented itself to be back home and close to family and friends (and non-subzero temperatures), and for this (among many other reasons) he is grateful to be a part of the Sinclair Broadcasting family.
In San Antonio, Robert can be seen covering all sorts of stories around town and the region, from breaking news to crime to city politics to personal interest features. In 2013, he received an award for spot news coverage from the Texas Associated Press Broadcasters Association.
When he's not out reporting, Robert likes to absorb pop culture, exercise his brain with trivia competitions and spend time with his family. He also fanatically roots for his Spurs, Cowboys, Rangers and Trojans.
