UTSA loses to Colorado State University, 23-14

SAN ANTONIO - Stats don't always tell the story, but the stats following the University of Texas at San Antonio loss to Colorado State University on Saturday tell quite a story.

The runners carried the ball 34 times today... for a whopping -1 yard!

Most of that is because quarterback Dalton Sturm was sacked 6 times! Sturm hung tough, despite being under pressure all day.

He threw for two touchdowns; First to Kerry Thomas in the first quarter. That put UTSA up 7-3.

The second touchdown came just before the half. This time, Brady Jones scored, but the runners would be down 17-14 at half-time.

They didn't score in the second half. Sturm tried to make something happen late, but gets picked off.

UTSA loses to CSU: 23-14. The runners are now 1-1 for the start of the season.

The schedule only gets tougher. UTSA hosts Arizona State University next Friday at the Alamodome.
