Kobe Bryant's Air Jordan 3s worn versus Spurs auctioned for $30k
Kobe Bryant was a sneaker free agent in the 2002-03 season, and was considering signing a deal with Air Jordan.
Before signing, he wore a couple of Air Jordans in games to test them out. One of the pairs included a Lakers themed Kobe 3 PE Pair.
He wore one of the pairs in a game against the San Antonio Spurs and Rockets. The Laker inspired shoes are named "Home White", with Lakers' colors near the heels and the Jordan's logo on the back.
These shoes recently were put up for auction on eBay, with the winner paying up a total of $30,400!
Bryant ultimately ended up signing with Nike, after representing Adidas up until that time.
Since retiring after the the 2015-16 season, he has still been involved with Nike. In July, he had this "Purple Stardust" line unveiled.
As one of the most recognizable names in NBA history, expect more releases to be around the corner.
