Plenty of Texans on both Super Bowl rosters
Welcome to Minneapolis for Super Bowl 52. The Eagles and Patriots fans are hitting the town, and there are plenty of Texans on both rosters, including Eagles QB Nick Foles.
OL LeAdrian Waddle from Columbus, Texas and TE Marellus Bennett, who played for Alief Taylor High School in Houston are just to name a few Texans on the Patriots roster, while the Eagles have wideout Marcus Johnson from League City, Texas and tackle Jason Peters from Queens City, Texas.
Foles, like Drew Brees, played his ball at Austin Westlake, where he ran through a few San Antonio teams during the playoffs. He'll play in the biggest game of his life on Sunday, but he says if you play high school QB in Texas, you can handle anything.
The players aren't the only stars.
NBC had a big red carpet presentation of Al Michaels and the whole gang, so I kinda felt like the paparazzi in LA at the Academy Awards.
Spurs fans will never forget Michaels' call after Robert Horry drained a 3-pointer to beat the Detroit Pistons in overtime in Game 5 of the NBA Finals en-route to their third NBA championship.
Michaels and the crew will have the call beginning at 5:30 p.m. on News 4.
