Student athletes commit on National Signing Day
SAN ANTONIO - National Signing Day has come and gone and the only people happier than the programs landed the star athletes were their parents!
San Antonio's top recruit is Army All-American Derek Kerstetter. The big offensive lineman from Reagan High School originally chose Oklahoma State, but switched to Texas after Tom Herman got the head coaching job.
Reagan teammate Kyle Andersen is heading to Texas Tech.
Steele High School quarterback Xavier Martin is already enrolled at Texas Tech, but he head nine other teammates signing scholarships, including Travell Lumpkin who will play running back for the Missouri Tigers.
CJ Williams is going to the Navy and Trai Armstrong is staying home at UT-San Antonio.
Over at Clemens High School, quarterback Frank Harris also made it official by signing with UTSA.
