MoviePass allows you see one film per day in theaters for $9.95 a month

MoviePass wants to be the Netflix of movie theaters.

The startup allows you to see one film per day for a monthly fee when you use its app. Moviepass just lowered that fee to $9.95 a month, less than what you'd pay for a single movie ticket in many big cities.

But not everyone is happy.

AMC, the largest U.S. theater chain, put out a press release saying "not welcome here." AMC says it will try to block people from using MoviePass at its theaters.
