Lawmaker wants ‘stealthing’ classified as sexual assault
SAN ANTONIO —
A lawmaker in Wisconsin wants a law passed that would classify "stealthing" as sexual assault.
"Stealthing" is the act of removing a condom during intercourse without a partner's consent. The disturbing practice increases the risk of pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases.
"This is clearly a crime," Wisconsin Representative Melissa Sargent told Corky Siemaszko of NBC News.
Sargent believes ignoring the matter is not an option and that legislators need to take steps to stop it.
