Weather-related school delays, closures for Friday, Dec. 8th

SAN ANTONIO -- The freezing weather in South Texas is already prompting some school districts to delay classes. Check back here for updates.

Bandera ISD:
Classes will have a two-hour delay Friday Dec. 8.

Baptist Health System School of Health Professions
The Baptist Health System School of Health Professions will delay its opening to 10am on Friday, December 8, 2017.

Blanco ISD:
Blanco ISD will delay school tomorrow, Friday, Dec. 8 until 10:00 am due to weather conditions.

Brackett ISD
Brackett ISD announces a delayed start of 10 a.m. for all students; faculty and staff report at 9:30 a.m.

Boerne ISD:
Authorities announced school will open two hours later Friday Dec. 8.

Comal ISD:
Due to anticipated weather conditions, and out of an abundance of caution, all Comal ISD campuses will be on a two-hour delay, Friday, December 8. School start times tomorrow morning will be 9:40 a.m. for elementary schools and 10:45 a.m. for secondary schools. Buses will pick up students at their scheduled.

Comfort ISD:
Comfort ISD will delay the start of school by two hours Friday Dec. 8.

Falls City ISD
Falls City ISD will have a 2 hour delayed start. School will start at 10am.

Floresville ISD
Due to inclement weather, FISD will delay the start of school 2 hours on Friday, December 8th. Buses will run on a 2 hour delay.

Fort Sam Houston ISD:
Fort Sam Houston ISD will experience a two hour delayed start on Friday, December 8 due to poor weather conditions. Parents are advised to monitor the District's website as weather conditions will be re-assessed in the morning.

Gonzales ISD:
Gonzales ISD announced a 2-hour delay for Friday, December 8.

IDEA Public Schools:
All campus will be open Friday Dec. 8. Visit IDEA's website for more information and updates regarding inclement weather.

Jubilee Academies Charter School District:
Jubilee Academies Charter School District will delay campuses Friday, Dec. 8, until 10 a.m.

Karnes City ISD:
Karnes City ISD will operate on a 2-hour delay today.

Kenedy ISD
Kenedy ISD will have a 2 hour delayed start. Classes will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Luling ISD:
The district is delaying the start of school Friday Dec. 8 until 10 a.m. due to inclement weather. Buses will run two hours later than their normal start time.

Lutheran High School - San Antonio
Due to impending road conditions, school will begin at 10 AM on Friday morning to allow all students and staff to be able travel safely to school. There will be no shuttle service in the morning. Basketball players should hear from their coaches regarding information.

Natalia ISD:
All classes will have a two-hour delay Friday Dec. 8, meaning they will start at 9:50 a.m.

Marion ISD:
Marion ISD will have a two-hour delay Friday Dec. 8. Elementary school will start at 9:45 a.m. and the secondary school begins at 10:30 a.m.

Navarro ISD:
Navarro ISD will have a two hour delay in the morning. Buses will run two hours later than usual.

New Braunfels ISD:
Due to inclement weather conditions and out of an abundance of caution, all NBISD schools will open on a two-hour delayed start on Friday, Dec. 8. Bus service will also run two hours late on Friday, Dec. 8.

Employees are asked to report at the normal time or as soon as they can safely travel to their work location.

New Frontiers Public Schools:
New Frontiers Public Schools classes will start at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec 8. Updates will be posted on the school website, social media and sent via School Messenger.

Nixon-Smiley CISD
Nixon-Smiley CISD will have a 2 hour delay.

Northeast ISD:
Monitoring weather conditions, with the final decision regarding coming at 5 a.m.

Northside ISD:
Officials are monitoring weather conditions. Any decision regarding school closures will be made Friday morning, announced on their website, Facebook, Twitter, mobile app and through local media.

Our Lady of the Lake University:
The Our Lady of the Lake University San Antonio campus will open at 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8. Commencement activities will take place as scheduled. The Ring Blessing Ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. and Graduation Liturgy will take place at 3 p.m.

Pawnee ISD
School will be delayed by 2 hours

Pearsall ISD:
School will start at 10 a.m. Friday Dec. 8 due to weather conditions. Bus routes begin at 8:30 a.m.

Poth ISD
Poth ISD announces a 2-hour delays on Friday, December 8

Rocksprings ISD:
Classes will start school Friday Dec. 8 at 9:30 a.m. Buses will be running an hour and half later than normal.

Runge ISD:
Runge ISD will have a delayed opening until 10 am.

San Antonio Academy:
School will be closed Friday Dec. 8.

San Antonio ISD:
Planning to have class start on time Friday Dec. 8.

San Antonio Christian School:
School is delayed Friday Dec. 8 until 10 a.m.

San Marcos Academy:
San Marcos Academy will have a two-hour delayed opening on Friday, Dec. 8, due to weather.

San Marcos CISD:
Due to weather conditions, all San Marcos CISD campuses will be on a two-hour delay, Friday, Dec. 8. Bus schedules will also be on a two-hour delay.

Seguin ISD:
Classes will be delayed two hours Friday Dec. 8.

Stockdale ISD:
To better allow for the safe transportation of students, Stockdale ISD will be on a two-hour delay for Friday, Dec. 8. School will begin at 10:00 am.

TMI Episcopal
Due to weather and road conditions, TMI will have a two-hour delayed start on Friday, December 8. Classes will begin at 10:00 a.m.

Texas A&M University - San Antonio:
Texas A&M University-San Antonio campus will delay opening until 10 a.m.on Friday, December 8.

University of Incarnate Word:
The University of the Incarnate Word, all locations including Incarnate Word High School and St. Anthony High School, will have a delayed start until 10 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, 2017.

UTSA:
All campuses will be delayed until 12 p.m. Friday Dec. 8.

UT Health San Antonio campuses:
Campus opens at 10 a.m. Friday Dec. 8.

Wimberley ISD:
Classes will start Friday Dec. 8 at 10 a.m.
