Voluntary recall issued for H-E-B single-serving soups
SAN ANTONIO —
H-E-B announced a voluntary recall Friday evening for certain single-serving soups made with potentially contaminated vegetables.
The vegetables used in H-E-B Asian Noodle Soup Cups could be infected with Listeria monocytogenes, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, the elderly and people with weakened immune systems. Listeria can cause miscarriages and stillbirths for pregnant women.
Healthy people typically suffer short-term symptoms, like fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diahrrea once infected. No illness has been reported, the release states.
H-E-B is offering a full refund to customers that purchased these products. Customers can call the H-E-B customer service line at 1-855-432-4438 with questions or concerns.
