Vice President Mike Pence visiting San Antonio and Rio Grande Valley
SAN ANTONIO -- Vice President Mike Pence and his wife will be in Texas Friday, making stops in San Antonio and the Rio Grande Valley Friday.
Pence arrived in San Antonio around 11:20 a.m.
He's attending a fundraising luncheon with political action group "Trump Victory," at a Republican National Committee event at the Westin Riverwalk Hotel Downtown.
While in San Antonio, his wife Karen Pence made a stop at Methodist Children's Hospital. She received a tour of a therapy program for cancer patients.
After leaving the San Antonio, Pence and his wife traveled to McAllen, Texas. The vice president is scheduled to participate in a roundtable discussion about immigration and border security. U.S. Customs and Border Protection leaders and Rio Grande Valley law enforcement are going to be involved in this roundtable discussion.
