Suspect refuses to pull over for deputies, abandons truck in grassy field
SAN ANTONIO —
Deputies are searching for a man who refused to pull over during a late morning traffic stop in South Bexar County.
According to officers, deputies tried to pull over the driver of a white pickup truck at Highway 281 and Loop 410 on the south side just a few minutes before 10 a.m.
The driver took off and drove about a half-mile before abandoning the truck in a grassy field near 281 and FM 1937. He ran into a wooded area and has not been found.
Deputies are using a K-9 unit in their search. They are also said they were unsure whether the truck was stolen.
