Several animals rescued from mobile home fire on North side

Two people and several animals walked away safely from a mobile home fire Tuesday night.

The incident happened at the 1600 block of U.S. 281 North at about 7:30 p.m.

When firefighters arrived, the mobile home was fully engulfed in flames. Luckily, no one was inside at the time, but firefighters did save multiple animals.

Damage was estimated at about $60,000.
