Remembering Emilee Hurst: Judson senior was shot to death during a murder-suicide
SAN ANTONIO - Emilee Hurst, the 18-year-old Judson High School senior, was shot to death during a murder-suicide this week. Friday night her family and friends focused not on her death, but how she lived. With heavy hearts friends classmates and family members gathered to remember Emilee Hurst.
Madison Delgado said, "She was very selfless she put others first and she made sure everyone was okay."
The Judson High School senior was shot and killed Monday police say the victim of a murder suicide.
"When I got the call it was disbelief I am still in disbelief," Annette Cox said.
Hundreds at Judson's Performing Arts Center wore Emilee's favorite color pink.
Some wore t-shirts bearing #longliveemilee.
Roy Daniels said, "That's saying will never forget her will always remember what she represents which is goodness and what is right."
An investigation into the 18-year-old's death is ongoing.
Police have confirmed that Emilee was shot and killed by her ex-boyfriend.
People attending the service also prayed for his family.
"I know they need prayers as well and that's just got to be difficult," Daniels said.
Emilee is being remembered as a lovely young woman who dedicated her life to serving others.
"She was loved by everybody she was able to connect with everybody she just had that special gift," Daniels said.
Emilee's funeral was held Friday afternoon from 4-6 p.m.
