Police: Man shot and killed after pointing sawed-off shotgun at officer
SAN ANTONIO - Police Chief William McManus said a man was shot and killed while uniformed and undercover officers served a narcotics warrant at a South Side home on Thursday morning.
The officers arrived at the home in the 700 block of Vickers at about 10:30 a.m. to serve the warrant.
According to McManus, one man inside the house pointed a sawed-off shotgun at an officer and the officer then opened fire on the suspect, hitting him once in the torso.
The suspect died at the scene. The officer was not hurt.
McManus said there were four other people inside the house; no details were provided.
