Police: Driver who hit child drives away after learning cops would be called
SAN ANTONIO —
Police are searching for the driver of a red sedan who hit a 4-year-old boy and then drove off after learning that police would be called to the scene.
The incident happened on October 16, 2017 as Angel Robles, 4, crossed North Zarzamora Street with his grandmother shortly after 6 p.m.
Officers say a red car turning onto Zarzamora hit the little boy and the driver initially stopped, but then got back in her car and drove away with two passengers.
Police hope someone who witnessed the crime, including the passengers, will come forward with information on the driver, who was only described as a woman between 30 and 40-years-old.
Robles was hurt, but no other information was provided on the extent of his injuries.
If you have information on the suspect, call 210-224-STOP. A reward of up to $5,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
