LA GRAN TAMALADA

Eating tamales is a Christmas tradition! You can learn the art of making these corn-husk wrapped bundles of edible love this weekend. The La Gran Tamalada is Sunday at Market Square from 11-4. It's free and all are invited to the tamal-making workshop. The Cortez family, owners of Mi Tierra, will share their secrets from the ingredients to cooking techniques. Get ready to roll up your sleeves for this hands-on day of food, culture and family.
FRIDAY NIGHT AT 6 AND 8 TOBIN PLAZA
Friday you have two chances to watch a holiday classic for free next to the beautiful River Walk! The Tom Hanks favorite "Polar Express" will be shown on the huge 32 foot LED screen at the Tobin Plaza at 6 and then again at 8PM. Bring chairs and blankets. The movie is free but refreshments must be purchased at the event.
"A NIGHT IN WHOVILLE"
Saturday at 5:30 p.m.
A Dr Suess Christmas Wonderland can be found in the Hill Country this weekend! Saturday night is "A Night in Whoville" in Kerrville. Games, story time, a candy cane hunt, hot chocolate, cookies and of course Santa and more! Free admission to the fun beginning 5:30 Saturday at the Kerrville Schreiner Park.
CHRISTMASVILLE AT CASTLE HILLS CHURCH
Sunday, head to Christmasville! You will find it at castle hills church. Santa, a carousel, a snow slide, train rides, and food are just some of the fun! Everyone is welcome and admission is free! That's 5 to 7:30 on Sunday
