Weekend Fun: Culinaria's Restaurant Week, Health Day Fair, Gourd Festival, Reggae Festival
SAN ANTONIO -- This will be the last weekend of summer vacation for most area students, and we’ve got four ways to squeeze in some fun in this week’s Play in SA.
CULINARIA’S RESTAURANT WEEK
If you love to eat out, but don't have an endless budget then this is your time! Culinaria’s Restaurant Week is underway! (though the 27th) Here's how it works. Just go to the Culinaria website- the link is below. There you will find dozens of San Antonio's premiere restaurants. Make a reservation, then enjoy! The pre-set, several course menus range from $10-15 for lunch and $25-35 for dinner. Money raised goes to provide scholarships for chefs and the new Culinaria Farm.
BACK TO SCHOOL HEALTH DAY FAIR/SAT 11-1 IGNITING THE HARVEST CHURCH
Free school supplies-- while they last at a Back to School Health Day Saturday at "Igniting the Harvest Church". Komen San Antonio is sponsoring the day of family fun, raffles, healthy snacks and health screenings that's from 11-1.
LONE STAR GOURD FESTIVAL/NEW BRAUNFELS CONVENTION CENTER
Stay inside at the New Braunfels Convention Center for a unique art display. This weekend is the Lone Star Gourd Festival. Once food and medicine containers, now artists carve, paint, weave, dye and more-- creating amazing pieces of art.
SA REGGAE FESTIVAL/SAT 3-11 ROSEDALE PARK
Rosedale Park is the place to be Saturday 3-11 for San Antonio's Reggae Festival! Live music, artists, performers, food, cultural crafts & art vendors. Children 12 & under free. There will be a children’s playground area, free moon bounce, free face painting, and more kid activities.
