AT&T looking into service problems reported by West Side business owners

SAN ANTONIO - Some business owners on the West Side are accusing AT&T of hurting their businesses.

The owners say they've been having trouble with their phone and internet service for more than a week, at their busiest time of the year.

"It affects us a lot,” said Michael Cooremans, who owns 4M Auto Supply. “I have missed calls and missed business, and people have been walking by ‘Oh, I didn't know you were open.’ Yeah, I'm still here."

Cooremans says it's not just a matter of customers being unable to reach him.

"You can hear the phones aren't ringing, Cooremans told us. “My phones are usually jammed, you know. Now, I can't even do credit cards or debit."

We contacted AT&T and they tell us they are trying to verify the problems and get them resolved. Cooremans claims the same thing happened last year during this same time and it lasted almost two weeks. AT&T has not verified that claim.
