Man threw beer bottles at police officers during assault, say investigators
SAN ANTONIO —
A man is facing charges for attacking an officer at a convenience store on Sunday night, according to the San Antonio Police Department.
According to reports, a man in his 30s or 40s walked into the store at South Zarzamora and I-35 shortly after 10 p.m. and bought some alcohol.
He returned a short time later and started fighting with the store workers. When officers arrived, the suspect threw beer bottles at them.
They tried to subdue the man, but it didn't work. Eventually, paramedics were able to sedate him and he was taken to a hospital for treatment.
The incident remained under investigation. No other details were released.
