Man shot at gas station, several people taken into custody
SAN ANTONIO – A man was shot during an argument at a Northwest Side gas station.
Police and EMS were called to the 100 block of Bandera Road around 11:48 a.m. Saturday.
Officers at the scene said a man in his 20s got into an altercation with three other men in their 20s at a Valero gas station. Police say that man then went to his car and grabbed a gun and then came back and told the other three men to leave him alone.
Investigators say one of the three men kept mouthing off and then punched the man holding the gun. The man with the gun then shot him in the leg.
The man who was shot was taken by EMS to University Hospital in stable condition.
Police said everyone involved was taken into custody. Investigators are now trying to determine if the shooting was a case of self-defense and are interviewing several witnesses.
The man who fired the gun could face a charge of aggravate assault with a deadly weapon.
