SAN ANTONIO - Police have arrested a man they believe attacked and robbed a senior citizen after she left a bank.

The victim, a 68-year-old woman, left her bank one day in late May and drove home. She told investigators that as she sat in her car, a man walked up, opened her car door and grabbed her purse, hitting her in the chest with his elbow as he robbed her.

Police who were investigating several robberies with a similar method of attack identified Marques Jackson as the suspect.

When he was questioned about the crimes, he admitted to committing one of them, according to court papers.

In addition, officers said bank surveillance video showed Jackson at the same bank and at the same time as the victim. He is charged with aggravated robbery.
