Holloman AFB commander accused of sexual exploitation of a child
EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14) —
A Holloman Air Force Base commander accused of sexual exploitation of a child has been relieved of command pending the outcome of an investigation, the district attorney’s office said.
According to the district attorney, Keith Vollenweider, who was the 49th Medical Support Squadron commander, faces two counts of sexual exploitation of a child – one count for possession and another for distribution.
Vollenweider was in possession of several pieces of child pornography, according to his arrest warrant. He was investigated last month after his IP address was linked to child porn.
Vollenweider remains in jail but has a bond hearing Wednesday.
