Gas line ruptures during possible road rage incident
SAN ANTONIO - A gas line ruptured overnight after a possible road rage incident involving two drivers.
Around 12:30 a.m., San Antonio Police says two people were involved in an argument along NW Military Highway and Huebner Road.
Investigators say that witnesses told them the male and female drivers jumped in their vehicles and took off. Police said the male and female had been involved in disturbances throughout the day. They met up at a nearby gas station and the male pursued the female, ramming her of the road. At that time, he lost control and hit the gas line. He then regained control and rammed the female's car to a stop.
The ruptured gas line became a serious potential hazard. The streets around the area of the leak had to be shut down. No homes were evacuated.
CPS Energy was called to shut off the leaking gas line and to make repairs. Nobody was hurt in the incident.
