Family of San Antonio father shot by masked gunmen asking for the public's help
Police are searching for three masked men who fired shots at Julius Peralta after he answered a knock at his door early Monday morning.
His family is now offering $5,000 for information that leads for an arrest in the murder investigation.
The shooting happened at the Westward Plaza Apartments shortly after 12 a.m. on Monday.
Investigators say three men wearing masks knocked on a door and then fired two shots when the victim answered. He was shot in the chest. He was taken to University Hospital where he later died.
"There's much to go off of other than possibly wearing dark clothing and masks. That doesn't leave a lot leave a lot for detectives who are investigating this case so something like this, we ask for the public's help maybe they heard something from somebody," said Carlos Ortiz, SAPD public information officer.
The 24-year-old father's wife and child witnessed his murder.
At this point, police are not able to confirm if the victim knew the shooters.
