Driver trapped inside truck after hitting pole, several trees in rollover crash
SAN ANTONIO —
Doctors are working to save a man who was trapped inside his truck for 45 minutes following an overnight crash.
According to the San Antonio Police Department, a driver was speeding when he lost control on Rogers Ranch Parkway near Loop 1604 shortly after 12 a.m. on Wednesday. That's when he hit a utility pole and a tree, before flipping the truck onto its side and hitting two more trees.
It took rescue crews about 45 minutes to get him out of the wreckage, because his feet were stuck in the cab.
The driver was taken to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries, including head trauma.
The crash remained under investigation. No other information was released.
