Dozens of couples say 'I do' in mass Valentine's Day wedding at courthouse
SAN ANTONIO —
SAN ANTONIO - Dozens of couples started Valentine's Day as newlyweds. Couples took part in a mass wedding ceremony on the steps of the Bexar County Courthouse at the stroke of midnight overnight.
The brides and grooms first had to take a pre-marital education course from the state and get a marriage license, 72 hours before the ceremony - some exceptions were made. But the mass wedding was free.
More ceremonies were set to be held during the day, including at 10 a.m., 12 p.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.
