Comal Co. sheriff looking for man accused of impersonating DPS Trooper

The Comal County Sheriff's Office is looking for the public's help identifying a man who has been impersonating a law enforcement officer.

Comal County says the man, wearing a uniform similar to a Texas State Trooper, reportedly pulls vehicles over for various alleged infractions and, in once instance, asked to search a victim's vehicle.

The suspect is allegedly driving a vehicle that resembles and unmarked law enforcement vehicle equpped with red and blue emergency lights in the windshield.

He is described as a white male around 5'9" around 220 pounds with a pot belly. He has brown hair, brown eyes and has been known to wear a beard.

The sheriff's office says he may have discoloration or blotches on his left hand.

The uniform he's described as wearing consists of dark tan pants with blue stripes, a dark tan button down long-sleeved shirt with no tie, a plain black baseball cap, and a gold bad with no markings.

Comal County reminds people that if you are ever unsure of the legitimacy of an officer making contact with you, cyou can all 911 immediately to confirm the officer’s identity.

Anyone with information on the identity of this suspect is asked to call Comal County Crime Stoppers.
